Can you come in the evening or on the weekend?
We do have appointments available during the day, evening, and on Saturdays during the day. Evening
and Saturday appointments are somewhat limited and generally only available by advance
appointment. We do not work on Sundays. Please contact us for more information.
How much notice do you need for an appointment?
Ideally, you should call or e-mail at least 1-2 days prior to needing our services, since our schedule is
very unpredictable. However, if your pet is in need of immediate care, we will make every effort to
accommodate your needs as quickly as possible. Please be aware that there may be additional
charges for visits made on very short notice. If you need our help relatively quickly, be sure to call, since
we can't always check e-mail throughout the day.
How long does the appointment take?
The length of the appointment varies depending on the patient and your needs. For example, if you
would like to spend additional time with your pet before or after the sedation or after the pet's passing,
this may add time to the length of the appointment. However, on average, appointments typically last
approximately 20-40 minutes. If you feel that you may need additional time, just let us know at the time
of booking about your desires, so we can schedule it appropriately.
Will you be able to come at an exact appointment time?
When we set up the appointment, we will generally agree on a specific time with a window of
approximately 1-2 hours. This is needed to account for the needs of all our families, traffic, or other
unexpected delays. While we make every effort to honor your appointment time and rarely miss this
window (currently better than 99% on time within that window), there are sometimes delays. On the
rare occasion that this happens, we will call to let you know about the delay, whenever possible. So
please be sure to give us a good number to reach you at during the time of the appointment and let us
know if the timing is critical. If you need to have a more narrow window, please let us know and we
may able to schedule an appointment during a time when there are less likely to be delays.
What kind of animals do you care for?
We can provide euthanasia for any small animal including dogs, cats, pot-bellied pigs,
rabbits/rodents, birds, and reptiles.
