While various agencies routinely change safety requirements regarding COVID safety, we will continue to try to provide the safest experience possible for you and our staff as possible. As a result, we are currently instituting the following modifications to our usual procedures.
1. Online scheduling will be limited to Appointment Requests. Actual scheduling will require approval from Dr. Smith and a written/email confirmation between both parties. Please be sure to check your email frequently and contact us ASAP if you do not receive a confirmation and associated paperwork. Home visit Quality of Life Assessment and Palliative Care/Hospice appointments are not currently available.
2. If there is anyone in the home who has been diagnosed with Coronavirus infection or is showing any symptoms, please contact us immediately for re-evaluation of the potential visit. No one with any illness should be present in the procedure area during the visit.
3. We will need to make every effort to maintain “Social Distancing” and personal safety. Therefore, we won’t be able to shake hands, hug, or have any physical contact during the visit. Please be sure to “self-disinfect” (thorough hand-washing, etc.) immediately before, or upon our arrival, as well as after.
4. Masks: Dr. Smith is fully vaccinated and boosted, but will continue to wear an appropriate mask during all contact with families. For everyone’s safety, it is encouraged, but not required, that everyone present wear a mask while Dr. Smith is present. He is happy to step away to provide you time/space to remove your masks at any point in the procedure, please just let us know.
5. We will do everything possible to minimize time spent in your home. For example, please be prepared to begin the process quickly once Dr. Smith arrives (i.e. have everyone say good-byes ahead of the scheduled appointment time, etc.).
These temporary restrictions supersede all other descriptions of procedures offered elsewhere on the website. Hopefully, we will be able to return to normal operations soon.
